Castles and noble life
Castello del Buonconsiglio, Trento: reduced admission of € 8 per ticket (instead of € 10 full rate); The Castello del Buonconsiglio was the residence of the Princes-Bishops from 1200 to 1700. It is the largest and most important monumental complex in the Trentino Alto Adige region. Numerous frescoes and interior decorations. From 13 July to 3 November 2019 the exhibition “GOLD WIRES AND SILK PAINTINGS will be exhibited. VELVETS AND EMBROIDERY BETWEEN GOTHIC AND RENAISSANCE ”which tells the story of sacred fabrics through paintings and precious velvets and embroidery between Four and Five hundred.
Castel Beseno, Besenello: reduced admission of € 5 per ticket (instead of the full price of € 7); Castel Beseno, the largest fortified complex in Trentino. From mid-July to the end of August 2019, on weekends it is animated by historical re-enactments.
Castello di Stenico, Stenico: reduced admission of € 5 per ticket (instead of the full price of € 7); Perched on a rocky hill overlooking the Giudicarie basin, the castle of Stenico is a symbol of the power of the bishops of Trento. The rooms are today elegantly furnished with refined furniture, carved and inlaid, valuable paintings, white and firearms, ancient tools of daily use from the collections of the Castello del Buonconsiglio. Castel Thun, Ton, Val di Non: reduced admission of € 6 per ticket (instead of the full price of € 8); The castle was the home of one of the most powerful feudal families in the region. Castel Caldes, Caldes, Val di Sole: entrance fee, open until 4 November 2018. Located at the entrance to the Val di Sole, the majestic manor dominates the nearby town of Caldes. The current appearance of the castle is the result of various architectural phases that began in the thirteenth century and continued until the sixteenth century. From 7 June to 3 November 2019 Castel Caldes will host an exhibition of the Cavallini Sgarbi Collection, about seventy works including paintings and sculptures ranging from Fifteenth to mid-nineteenth century.
Single entry valid for the 5 Castles at the reduced rate of € 15 instead of € 20. Free for children up to 14 years, 15-26 years reduced rate students, over 65 reduced rate. The Castles are also open on Saturdays and Sundays and closed every non-working Mondays.
